MTB Centre of Entresierras
The MTB Centre of Entresierras is made up of 6 villages in the south of the province of Salamanca: Cristóbal, Los Santos, Fuenterroble de Salvatierra, San Esteban de la Sierra, Santibáñez de la Sierra and Valdefuentes de Sangusín.
It offers 183 kilometres of paths and different kinds of landscapes and paths which cross the region of Entresierras in the Biosphere Reserve Sierras de Béjar and Francia.
They are 9 properly signposted stretches which will make any MTB lover enjoy..
The cyclists will be amazed by the magnificent landscape in the Sierra de Béjar, Sierra de Francia and Sangusín valley. They will be able to visit the village of Molinillo and cycle along the paths which cross the vineyards included in the Designation of Origin Label “Sierras de Salamanca”.
Some other routes cross the meadow and the river Alagón valley, where the cave wine presses can be visited.
The circular route which goes through the municipality of Fuenterroble de Salvatierra will allow cyclists to get to know another mountain range that is part of the Entresierras area.
The Sierra de Tonda is 6 km far from the village of Fuenterroble, and has higher than 1000 metres summits; if you cycle to the top of them, you will be able to enjoy amazing views of the Entresierras and the two Sierras areas as well as the historic Salvatierra Field, which was divided by the dam of Santa Teresa some decades ago. The paths also offer a route among thick oak groves.
The route which starts in Los Santos allows the cyclists to go through the wide natural and cultural heritage of this municipality in less than 10 kilometres. The cyclists can get to know the Hermitage of La Virgen del Gozo or the hundred-years-old chestnut trees. It is also the ideal route to visit the overwhelming Granite Theme Park.
