Salamanca offers different routes which allow the visitors to enjoy the natural settings which are environmentally interesting, such as the Sierras de Francia and Béjar and the Natural Park Arribes del Duero, declared UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The Sierras de Béjar and Francia cover a surface of arond 200.000 hectares, which make them become the biggest Reserve of the region and the third one in Spain. In these mountain ranges we can find Las Batuecas-Sierra de Francia Natural Park and Las Quilamas; we can walk through all of them following the suggested routes.

There are magical paths included in the Natural Park of Arribes del Duero, which is part of the “Iberian Plain” Reserve and the biggest boundary natural park in Europe.

Around these green places, there are charming towns and villages, places where you can walk peacefully, calmly and take a break to see the views, relax and taste any of the typical products and dishes of this land.

Las Honfrías Path

Around the environment of Linares de Riofrío we can find La Honfría, a thick forest full of hollies, chestnut trees, hazelnuts, wild cherry trees, elder and Pyrenean oaks.

The Camino Natural Vía Verde de la Plata, from Carbajosa de la Sagrada to Alba de Tormes

The route is about 20 kilometres long and crosses the municipalities of Alba de Tormes (declared Historical Site), Terradillos, Calvarrasa de Arriba, Arapiles and Carbajosa de la Sagrada.

Accesible Hiking in the Natural Park Las Batuecas – Sierra de Francia

The natural park Las Batuecas-Sierra de Francia offers two routes for disabled people.

El Camino del Agua

In the Natural Park of Las Batuecas – Sierra de Francia we can also find the Camino del Agua (The Water Path)
The water was always there and the path was been formed by itselt as time went by. And, six sculptures, which are alreday part of the landscape, have enriched the landscape.

Senda del Duero

This natural path, also known as GR-14, crosses the region of Castile and Leon. It starts in the Sierra de Urbión in the province of Soria and finishes in the dock of Vega Terrón in the province of Salamanca.

Sendero de las Piedras Mágicas

The roundabouts of the small village of La Redonda offer a simple but beautiful landscape, The histoy, men´s imagination and popular tradition have added to this land some mystery and magical effects.
