Saint Teresa and Saint Juan de la Cruz Centre
Opposite the convent of Saint Teresa, the visitor can find this small but interesting museum which has three rooms that show different kinds of items.
The first room houses a great number of works of religious Baroque art related to Saint Teresa de Jesus. Reliquaries, goldsmith pieces, wooden sculptures of saints, facsimiles of the works by Saint Teresa take the visitor to a world of passion and spirituality.
At the end of the first room, there is a small space which shows a collection of popular African art, with some animal miniatures made of different materials, and some ritual masks.
Finally, on the top floor, the Carmelite Priests show the historical evidence of their lives in the African Missions: beautiful sensitive photographs, focused on the daily life and children´s world in a very positive way.
